I am so in love with Katie Eary's Spring 2010 collection. SO so sosososososoosoooooo. It's everything I could have wanted out of a collection. I really have to look into making some kind of DIY version of the pearl and chain ribcage. UGH.

More random photos I have on my computer from Pleasure Principle. Nothing is as fucking cool as their Men's Spring 2010 lookbook though - but that's still under wraps for the moment

boned

VPL's Spring 2010 collection was, I have to admit, largely uninteresting to me, but I did like these two looks quite a lot, and Victoria Bartlett wasn't even responsible for the bits I liked. Some kid named Aran Baik was, and he is proving difficult to google.

I mean, of course I did, they're ribcage-esque knits. I have to say though, they remind me a lot of our old friend Alena Akhmadullina. Really, I'd take any of these and wear them with pride. I'll have to see if my knitting virtuoso friend is up for the challenge...

iris van herpen

Here's the thing about Iris van Herpen: I don't really know a damn thing about her. But I LOVE her work. Although I'm super weirded out by the masks. Too much like gimp hoods. (Egh remember that awful scene in Pulp Fiction?)

SS 08: Fragile Futurity

This is SO much cooler than the Wangster's slit stuff out right now. I'm sorry, but REALLY. This is my favorite of her collections. The perfect allusion to the ribcage while being so much more.

This is all made out of leather and brass. I really like the skirt on the dress to the left.

FW 09: Mummification

Dear God, look at the lacing on these. It's all leather, which somehow makes it so much more impressive.

And after all of these photos, I still haven't managed to capture half of what she does (including some interesting work with chain). Oh Iris.
